There are some big themes when it comes to Christian faith that deserve to be addressed: the withdrawal of the believers from the public to the private sphere; the fragmentation of Christianity into denominations and all sorts of ecclesial preferences; understanding the metanarrative of the Christian faith in a unitary sense; the role and the testimony of the church leaders; the conflict between the image and the word; and last but not least, the business approach to church planting.

All of these topics have been on my mind for a long while and so I decided to exploit every single academic opportunity in order to study these matters. Therefore, this book is actually a collection of academically written essays which are prompted by the desire to better understand these aspects of the Christian faith, of apologetics, of ecclesiology and of Christian testimony.” Vlad Crîznic

God allows Himself to be found, and His gift is available to each one of us. This is where we start off our adventure in this preparation season preceding Christmas. There are many truths, arguments and questions worth exploring as we prepare ourselves for the most wonderful time of the year. The stake goes beyond all the gifts and generous meals; it aims for the essences that have to do with our own lives and the reality of a miracle that redeems the past, challenges the present and changes the future. His long before prophesized birth is, above all, a proof of God’s supreme love for us. God became man so the He could be with us and give us grace; so that through Him we also become the sons of God.

“Lent” is a time of preparation for Easter. It is an invitation to explore the journey toward the Passion Week and the Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It is a journey meant to go beyond what we probably already know and seek to deepen the essential truths of Christianity. The celebration of the Resurrection has to be a personal one. In order for our hearts to be able to reverberate of joy, we need to understand that Christ did for us what we could have never done for ourselves. He gave us the chance to a transformed, whole, healed and eternal life. The reality of His death and resurrection forever transformed the reality of our lives. “Christ is risen” should move from our lips to our hearts. We invite you to join us in this season of preparation.
